about the tour

~ 2 miles

We’ll dip into Portland’s East End and we’ll skirt the arts district, but our 2-mile walk stays primarily in the Old Port.

~ 90 minutes

Give our take, we’ll be out for roughly an hour and a half. We’ve got seven stops on the tour, but there’s plenty to see in between.

the past & present

While your guide loves history, the story of Maine is ever-changing. Discover the living Portland – and get local tips!

Portland’s Old Port

ready to roll?

Our route begins at the southern corner of Lincoln Park, on Congress Street. From there, we’ll head up Munjoy Hill to Eastern Cemetery, before turning back toward the Old Port. We’ll take in some of the most historic parts of Portland’s old trading district, and then move to Monument Square, the city’s de facto central plaza. Our journey ends with a walk by the famed city hall, before returning to Lincoln Park.
